Call for Submissions
Issue 01: Vestiges
Bridge Review is currently accepting submissions for our inaugural issue, themed Vestiges. We are a student-led literary magazine dedicated to publishing thoughtful writing and artwork from and about Africa and the Arab world. For this issue, we welcome work that explores the remnants of the past that shape our present, be it painful histories or glorious ones. How do we connect to and navigate our cultural heritage and identity in an ever-changing globalized world?
Submission Deadline: November 30, 2025
Guidelines
We accept and publish: short stories, poetry, literary criticism, essays, translation (Arabic to English only), nonfiction, visual art.
Submissions must be original and previously unpublished.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
Submit only one piece per category at a time.
Send your work as an email attachment (.docx or .pdf for text, .jpg/.png for images) to: [email protected]
In the subject line, write: Submission - {Genre} - {Your Name}, example: Submission - {Poetry} - {First and Last Name}
Please include a brief bio (2–4 sentences) in the body of your email.

We publish writing and artwork that addresses contemporary issues and celebrates the intellectual and cultural richness of Africa and the Arab world. We aim to give students, young artists, and aspiring writers an opportunity to share their voice with the world, and connect with a community of passionate and like-minded individuals.
